Careers
Join a small team building systems that businesses use every day. The work is close to the problem, owned end to end, and judged by whether it makes the business run better.
Our founder spent more than five years building systems used across Southeast Asia, supporting millions in monthly Gross Merchandise Value (GMV). Here, that standard meets a team small enough for your work to matter immediately.
Why join Pemizo
Build for real businesses
Your work goes into the daily operations of Malaysian SMEs. You see who uses it, what breaks, and what changes after it ships.
Stay close to the decision
Work directly with the people making product and business decisions. Context moves quickly and good ideas have a short path to production.
Own the whole problem
See the work from discovery and architecture through delivery, client feedback, and monitoring.
How we set you up
Every role is paid
Internships included. Your time and contribution are work, and we treat them that way.
Hybrid out of PJ
Work from our Petaling Jaya office and remotely, with the rhythm agreed by the team.
Modern tools, paid for
Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, and modern hardware are provided. Use them with judgement and understand what you ship.
Direct feedback
Work beside the people deciding what gets built. Questions get answered and feedback reaches the work quickly.
Open roles
Own the design of every screen we ship: the system an admin sits in all day, the dashboard an owner checks between meetings, the page that made them call us in the first place. Every one of them is doing a job, and none of them is the small one.
We build custom systems and SaaS for Malaysian businesses. The people who use what we ship are not designers, developers, or early adopters. They are an admin executive with 40 browser tabs open, a sales coordinator on a shared laptop, an owner checking numbers on his phone between meetings. If the screen is harder than WhatsApp and Excel, they go back to WhatsApp and Excel, and the project failed no matter how good it looked. That constraint is the job. You would be the first designer here, working directly with the founder, with no design committee to get through and no brand guidelines to inherit.
Learn product design on systems people are paid to use: the CRM an admin sits in all day, the dashboard an owner checks between meetings. You draw it, we build it, someone uses it to do their actual job within weeks.
We build custom systems and SaaS for Malaysian businesses. The people who use what we ship are not designers or early adopters. They are an admin executive with 40 browser tabs open, a sales coordinator on a shared laptop, an owner checking numbers on his phone. If the screen is harder than WhatsApp and Excel, they go back to WhatsApp and Excel. As an intern here you sit next to the founder, you get real screens with real deadlines, and nothing you draw is a throwaway exercise.
Bring the conversations in. You find Malaysian SME owners still running the business on WhatsApp groups and spreadsheets, open the conversation, sit in on discovery, and keep the follow-up alive until the deal closes or dies for a clear reason.
We build custom systems and SaaS for Malaysian businesses. So far the founder has been doing the selling, which is the bottleneck: the pipeline only moves on the days he is not building. This role takes that over. Our buyer is an owner who decides over kopi, not in a boardroom, and who has already been quoted by three other shops. You will not be reading a script. You will be learning the business well enough to tell an owner honestly whether we are the right shop for his problem.
Learn how a deal actually gets made, from the first cold message to the signed proposal. You do the research, draft the outreach, sit in on real calls, and keep the content going out.
We build custom systems and SaaS for Malaysian businesses, and the founder is still the one selling. That means an intern here is not tidying a CRM for someone else. You are in the live pipeline: the list you build gets messaged, the message you draft gets sent, the call you sit in on is a real business deciding whether to spend real money on us. Nothing here is a simulation, and nothing here is a coffee run.
We need help creating more content. We're looking for a long-term freelance partner to manage our English and Mandarin content. We'll give you a clear brief and trust you to get the work done. Your content will help Malaysian business owners decide how to improve their work.
We're a small, self-funded (bootstrapped) team that builds custom systems and SaaS for Malaysian businesses. You'll write for business owners who want clear and useful information.
How hiring goes

Yes. Every role at Pemizo is paid, full time and internship alike. We do not run on the goodwill of students.
Partly, on full-time roles. We are hybrid out of Petaling Jaya with the rhythm agreed by the team, and the more senior the role, the more flexibility there is. Internships are the exception and spend at least part of the week in the office.
For full-time roles we consider it case by case, and the bar is high. Not currently for internships.
Often, but not guaranteed. We have offered full-time roles to interns who shipped strongly and wanted to stay. We are honest if the fit is not there.
Use them daily. We pay for Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini. We expect you to ship faster with AI, not to paste output you do not understand. We hire people who use AI as leverage, not as a crutch.
About two to three weeks. We commit to a decision within five working days of the final round.
