We need help creating more content. We're looking for a long-term freelance partner to manage our English and Mandarin content. We'll give you a clear brief and trust you to get the work done. Your content will help Malaysian business owners decide how to improve their work.
RM 1,200 per month for an agreed amount of work: about 12–16 social posts and 2–4 articles. We're bootstrapped, so the budget is small, but we pay on time and agree on the work and rate before you start. You can also earn commission when your content brings in a client, plus a bonus in good months. Your monthly pay will grow as our revenue grows.
About the role
We're a small, self-funded (bootstrapped) team that builds custom systems and SaaS for Malaysian businesses. You'll write for business owners who want clear and useful information.
What you'll do
Plan and publish content in English and Mandarin on Xiaohongshu, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
Write blog posts and case studies in both languages for Malaysian SME owners
Research keywords, prepare content briefs, and improve on-page SEO
Manage the content calendar and report what works
What we're looking for
Experience writing Mandarin for Malaysian Chinese readers. You understand how local writing differs from writing used in mainland China
Strong English writing. About half of the work is in English, and it should read as naturally as your Mandarin
Able to work on your own. You plan, draft, publish, and ask for help when needed
Able to meet deadlines. We need someone we can rely on for long-term work
Use AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to work faster, but make sure the final writing is your own and sounds natural
Nice to have
Experience with Canva or Figma
Able to edit short videos
Comfortable appearing on camera
